Outwardly, the work is a site-responsive film essay concerned with the large-scale restoration and long-term preservation of the North Bridge in Edinburgh. It follows in a tradition of artworks commissioned by the city to document and commemorate one of Edinburgh’s most historically significant landmarks, whilst examining the artists’ role and responsibilities in documenting the built environment.
Study for North Bridge will be exhibited at City Art Centre from 18 July to 13 Sep 2026, as part of Edinburgh Art Festival.
A North Bridge Refurbishment Arts Legacy Project commissioned by City of Edinburgh Council.
